DSL:

DSL provides internet service via phone cables and is up to ten times faster than dial-up service.

Cable:

Cable provides internet speeds faster than DSL through the same cables used for cable TV.

Satellite:

Satellite internet is widely available, but offers slower speeds due to a far-traveling signal.

Fiber:

Fiber relies on glass strands to relay digital code and is much faster than both DSL and cable.

When it works, it's great. Unfortunately, it has gone down many times. And often a tech has to come fix it. This would not be so bad if techs could arrive the same day or next day. But my internet went out Thursday morning, a tech was not available until the next Monday afternoon. He reconnected the internet, and it went right back down the next day, with a SIX DAY WAIT for a tech to come back and likely do the exact same thing the first tech did, reconnect the internet but not fix the problem. Also, there have been several outages down the line on the service this month. It's pretty fast when it works, but it doesn't work reliably, and worst of all, customer service has no way to expedite tech calls, since they are remotely dispatching local techs, which neither you nor they have any means of contacting directly. Until they get their support working, DON'T DO IT.

I spent 2-hours on the phone with customer service just trying to get my internet service to work. It’s a joke! Your service is horrible and it had me in tears trying to remedy the situation. Once we fixed it he gave me a $3.90 credit. You’ve got to be kidding me? That’s a big slap in the face as I couldn’t stop crying as I was dealing with a shabby problem. This has been a continual problem and I will make sure I let everyone know on the neighborhood News App how poor your product(s) are. Please call me to discuss.
